YOU SHOULD KNOW DIFFERENCES IN FAT16, FAT32 AND NTFS

Especially if you install Windows 2000 / XP, you would have obstructed the question when the hard drive partition that is Format With NTFS or FAT. What's NTFS? What's FAT? Which one is better ? To answer this question is not too difficult. Almost all users of Windows XP definitely  choose NTFS because NTFS is better and offers security / security than FAT. Here will explain what the differences are FAT and NTFS so that you know and choose which is more suited VS FAT NTFS.
Windows Xp has 3 filesystem FAT 16 = File Allocation Table 16 FAT 32 = File Allocation Table 32NTFS = NT File System

 FAT16

FAT16 Was introduced by MS-DOS in 1981 (very old school). Initially, this system is designed to manage files on a floppy drive (floppy), now who use floppy disks, FAT16 has experienced several changes that are used to manage files on my hard drive. The advantage is the FAT16 file system is compatible in almost all either the Windows Operating System 95/98 / Me, OS / 2, Linux, and even Unix. But behind it the biggest problem of FAT16 is has the capacity to keep the number of clusters in the partition, so the bigger the hard drive the size of the cluster will be greater, meaning any small files will still take 16KB of disk. Another bad thing is FAT16 does not support compression, encryption and access control in the partition.

 FAT32

FAT32 began in the know on Windows 95 SP2 system, and the development of more than FAT16. FAT32 offers the ability to accommodate a larger number of clusters in the partition. It also developed the ability to be better than the hard drive FAT16. However, FAT32 has a weakness that is not owned FAT16 is limited Operating System that can recognize FAT32. Unlike FAT16 which can be known by almost any Operating System, but it does not matter if you are running FAT32 in Windows XP because Windows XP does not care what the file system in use on the partition.

 NTFS

NTFS at first introduced in Windows NT and a file system that is completely different compared to FAT technology. NTFS offers much better security, file compression, clusters and even support data encryption. In general, NTFS is not compatible with other operating system installed on the same computer (Double OS) is not detected even if you do StartUp Boot using a floppy. For that it is advisable to you to provide a small partition that uses the FAT file system at the beginning of the partition. This partition you can use to store Recovery Tool if it got into trouble. But with current technology that has Windows Xp Recovery Tool own, I guess it's not so important because the ability of Windows Xp Recovery Tool is good enough.

 NTFS vs FAT

If  You run more than one operating system on your PC, you may need to provide for a FAT partition. you can insert a file / program to that partition as FAT can be accessed by any Operating System on your hard drive. But keep in mind, FAT does not have security in the data and all of the Operating System installed have 100% access to partitions using the FAT (read, write, delete, execute). In other cases can even be done between the network when connected so do not store important files in FAT System. In conclusion, the FAT system used when you want to use two or more Operating System embedded in your computer, while the only specialist NTFS for Windows Operating System. Thus hope there are benefits for you
